To reach interoperability in the jungle of different standards and recommendations flourishing in the field of Learning Technologies organisations have joined the workshop organised under CEN/ISSS.

Several workgroups have kicked off dealing with the following issues:

  • Internationalisation of the IEEE LTSC Learning Object Metadata (LOM) specification
  • Availability of alternative language versions of a learning resource in the IEEE LTSC Learning Object Metadata (LOM) specification
  • Description of language capabilities
  • Quality assurance (ETB Quality WP is involved, see the slides of Quality aspects here. )
  • Vocabularies and Taxonomies
  • Education Modelling Languages
  • Educational Copyright License conditions
